Terry Mcginnis Death, Obituary; Terry’s Grocery, Pizza & Dairy Bar in Dodsonville, Ohio Owner, Terry Mcginnis Passed Away Unexpectedly, Yesterday, our community lost a remarkable man — Terry McGinnis, the beloved owner of Terry’s Grocery, Pizza & Dairy Bar in Dodsonville, Ohio. the warmth, kindness, and steady presence Terry brought into all our lives.

Terry was more than a business owner. He was a constant. A figure woven into the daily rhythm of Dodsonville since 1978, when Terry’s Grocery opened its doors and began serving not just food, but comfort, joy, and community. It became a local treasure, known across the region for its legendary pizza, hoagies, and one-of-a-kind ice cream creations that had people coming back for decades.

A particularly meaningful memory stands out from my senior year of high school. During a fundraiser, I had the privilege of working side by side with Terry for a few days. We made hoagies — hundreds of them — and though it was just a short volunteer experience, I’ll never forget how patient, kind, and funny he was as he trained us. He made it easy. He made it fun. And somehow, he made us all feel like we were doing something important. That was his gift — making people feel like they mattered.

To his beloved wife Jane, to TJ, Bridgette, and the rest of his beautiful family: please know that you are in our hearts and prayers.
