According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the fatal crash occurred shortly before 8:00 p.m. when first responders were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision approximately 10 miles south of Owatonna. Investigators reported that both vehicles involved—a car and a pickup truck—were traveling northbound on I-35 when, for reasons still under investigation, they collided with violent force.
Authorities confirmed that the crash involved only the two drivers, with no additional passengers in either vehicle.
Parsons, a resident of Owatonna, was identified as the driver of the car. She was pronounced deceased at the scene due to the severity of the collision, according to the updated state crash report.
