Exeter, RI – Rhode Island State Police have made an arrest in connection with a tragic fatal crash on South County Trail that occurred on Saturday night, March 28, 2026. The incident has left the community grieving the loss of Milbia Hernandez, a 24-year-old woman who was struck and killed by an SUV near 310 South County Trail around 10:15 p.m.

According to Rhode Island State Police (RISP), Hernandez was immediately transported to a local hospital after being struck by the vehicle. Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, she was later pronounced dead due to the injuries sustained in the crash.
