HENDERSON, N.C. — The Henderson community is reeling after the devastating loss of 26-year-old Jashia Wright, who was fatally stabbed early Sunday morning on Vincent Hoyle Road. According to the Vance County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 2:40 a.m. and found Wright suffering from multiple stab wounds in the front yard of a residence. She was transported to Maria Parham Hospital, where she tragically succumbed to her injuries.
Authorities have arrested 24-year-old Naisha Wynn, who has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the fatal attack. Wynn remains in custody at the Vance County Detention Center, and the investigation is ongoing.
Sheriff Curtis Brame called the incident “tragic and heartbreaking” and extended condolences to Wright’s family, noting the swift and dedicated response of deputies and investigators in handling the case.
Family, friends, and the local community are mourning Wright’s untimely death. Her passing has left a deep impact on those who knew her, as neighbors grapple with the shock and sorrow of losing a young life so suddenly.
