TOWANDA, Pa. — The Towanda community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Valerie Shrader, 45, who was killed Saturday afternoon in a fatal motorcycle crash in Ulster Township, Bradford County. Shrader, a longtime resident of Towanda, lost her life in an accident that has left friends, family, and neighbors in shock.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the crash occurred on Route 220 when the motorcycle experienced a steering issue while attempting a left turn. The vehicle entered a drainage ditch, causing both Shrader and the 43-year-old male driver to be thrown from the motorcycle. Both individuals were wearing helmets and protective gear at the time of the crash.
Emergency responders transported Shrader and the driver to a nearby hospital. Tragically, Shrader succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The male driver suffered serious injuries and remains hospitalized in stable condition, according to authorities.
