Mason County Sheriff’s Office Investigates Double Homicide in Hoodsport; Suspect Identified”
MASON COUNTY, Wash. – The Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is investigating a double homicide tied to a domestic violence incident in the Hoodsport area. Anna Child, 46, and Jason Hilde, 46, were tragically killed in the incident, and MCSO is actively searching for the suspect, Robert T. Child, 58.
Deputies are currently working in the area as part of the ongoing investigation. At this time, the MCSO has not released further details regarding the circumstances of the homicides or additional information about the victims. The Mason County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the deaths of Anna Child and Jason Hilde, and both decedents are scheduled for autopsy later this week.
The suspect, Robert T. Child, is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, weighing about 250 pounds, and bald. He should be considered armed and dangerous. Child was last seen driving a white Ford dually with a standard cab and a ladder rack. The vehicle’s license plate number is C76622L.
MCSO urges residents to avoid approaching the suspect or the vehicle and to immediately contact 911 if they observe either the suspect or the vehicle.
