TERRELL, Texas — A homicide investigation is underway after 42-year-old Kenneth W. Mims of Dallas was fatally shot Sunday night at Breezy Hill Park, leaving the community shaken and authorities searching for answers.
According to the Terrell Police Department, officers were dispatched around 9:48 p.m. to the 300 block of New Hope Street following reports of shots fired in the area. When they arrived at the scene, they discovered Mims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
