Danny Shead and Teodoro Garcia-Herrera Killed in March 22 Shooting Rampage; Suspect Dead, Investigation Ongoing
Authorities have confirmed that a second victim ,Danny Shead, has died following a violent series of events that unfolded on March 22, which also claimed the life of 53-year-old Teodoro Garcia-Herrera and left multiple others injured.
Police say the incident began when a suspect, later identified as 41-year-old Dustin Johnson, drove a vehicle into a home near Northwest 14th Avenue and Bonham before opening fire inside. The chaotic scene left several victims, five of whom were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
On March 26, officials confirmed that Danny Shead died from injuries sustained during the shooting, bringing the total number of fatalities at that location to two. Teodoro Garcia-Herrera had been pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities confirmed that Johnson was later killed in an officer-involved shooting. Police also revealed that he was connected to a separate but related shooting at U.S. Loop 335 and Western Street, where two additional victims, Aaron Harper and Courtney Holman, were killed.
Law enforcement agencies continue to investigate both incidents, working to establish a full timeline and determine the motives behind the attacks. Detectives are actively gathering evidence and conducting interviews as part of the ongoing inquiry.
The community remains in shock as families grieve the loss of loved ones and others continue to recover from injuries. Authorities have pledged to provide updates as more information becomes available.
