In Loving Memory Of John Soares IV

WESTPORT, MASS. — In loving memory of John Soares IV, 29, of Fall River, who tragically lost his life following a motorcycle crash late Saturday night in Westport, Massachusetts.

Soares was identified by authorities as the victim of a single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 11:38 p.m. on Main Road. Emergency responders arrived to find a heavily damaged Harley-Davidson motorcycle and confirmed that the operator had been thrown approximately 50 feet from the point of impact.

Despite immediate lifesaving efforts by first responders, Soares was pronounced deceased at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.

Authorities reported that the crash also caused damage to a telephone pole and a stone wall along Main Road, with debris scattered across the roadway. The area was temporarily closed as emergency crews secured the scene and investigators began their work.

The Westport Police Department is investigating the crash in coordination with the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office. Investigators are working to determine all factors that may have contributed to the incident, including speed, roadway conditions, and possible mechanical issues.

No other vehicles were involved, and no additional injuries were reported.

The crash scene remained active for several hours as investigators documented evidence and reconstructed the events leading up to the collision.

John Soares IV is now being remembered with sorrow as family, friends, and the Westport community mourn his sudden and tragic passing.
